Zlata was always talented, but she could have been one of many very fine pianists with a respectable career. But in 2014, she released an album of Chopin’s études and took her place among the greatest pianists of our generation.

Gramophone itself later included the recording in its selection of ten of the finest Chopin recordings, while critics vied to outdo each other in their praise. Remember, this is Chopin we are talking about: one of the greatest composers ever to write for the piano.

We have been trying to bring her to Risør for a long time. Now, in an exceptional year for piano, Zlata belongs here with us. We cannot wait!
